Clear golden-orange, small, foamy, white head. Aroma of ripe apricot, pear, apple, honey, clove, dough, fruit liqueur, vague varnish. Taste has sweet apricot, pear & soft banana, honeyish and doughy malty profile with spicy clove-like bitterness for a phenolic effect. Floral hoppy finish, lingering ripe fruit yet something dry-yeasty too to balance things out; rather boozy rum-like alcohol in the very end. Medium body, oily texture, fizzy carbonation. Good, sweetness was actually kept in check but eventually a bit too heavy on the alcohol.

Wittoen Tripel 7° - 1/3L

"Gruut" was a spice mixture used in the Middle Ages to flavor the light beer. The herbal mixture contained oat sage, trout, yarrow, rosemary, gale, pine needles and dead nettle. Hops were introduced later by the German monks and as a result the herbs disappeared.

For the Wittoen we do it the other way around and we replace the hops again with a number of old-fashioned herbs . In the end we obtain a subtly flavoured, amber colored beer . Definitely taste it!

A ‘unpredictable’ playful beer. (do you see the pun with ‘triple’?). The Enfant Terriple is a ‘devilishly’ sunny blond beer of 8.2 volume with a playful nose. A subtle bitterness with a faint-fine citrus touch that is enveloped in a sober spicy malt taste. The agreeable bitterness lingers long. For connoisseurs with a bright outlook on life.

Cardeña is the first Trappist beer made in Spain for the Abbey of San Pedro de Cardeña (Burgos), one of the oldest monasteries in Spain whose existence has been attested since the 9th century.
Made by hand with a careful selection of barley malt, hops, yeast and water, with a second fermentation in the bottle, following the centuries-old tradition of Trappist master brewers.
Cardeña is a light amber beer with abundant head of foam, fine aroma, fruity and herbal flavor with a long and slightly dry finish.

Arendonker tripel is a blond fermentation beer of high fermentation with secondary fermentation in the bottle. Arendonker triple is traditionally brewed with Munich malt and a delicate aroma hop. The blonde beer is typically fruity in the aroma and has a slightly bitter aftertaste. The beer drinks away quickly, but is therefore somewhat treacherous. The Bons Voeux beer is produced at Dupont brewery. The Bons Vœux is a pale ale high fermentation beer with secondary fermentation in the bottle.
Since 1970, this beer was offered only to the best customers at the beginning of each year. This is where the name comes from: "Avec les bons voeux de la Brasserie Dupont" (With the best wishes of Dupont Brewery).
Due to the great success, this beer was put on the market afterwards, but the name was preserved. Although the supply was quite large, it was still produced in limited quantities.

The Bons Vœux has a copper-blond colour and contains fine hop aromas and is sweet, bitter and fruity.
