Taste has sweet apricot, pear & soft banana, honeyish and doughy malty profile with spicy clove-like bitterness for a phenolic effect. Floral hoppy finish, lingering ripe fruit yet something dry-yeasty too to balance things out; rather boozy rum-like alcohol in the very end. Medium body, oily texture, fizzy carbonation. Good, sweetness was actually kept in check but eventually a bit too heavy on the alcohol.

The Ename Pater is produced at Roman brewery. The brewers were inspired for this special, cloudy abbey beer by how the monks of old used to brew small amounts of beer for their own consumption. After all, the Fathers are entitled to a tasty glass of beer to quench their thirst too. But aware of their obligations as they were, they created a version with less alcohol. This allowed their minds to stay clear for work and prayer. Fortunately, the lower alcohol content had no effect on the characteristic abbey beer flavour.

Belgoo Bio Amber, produced by Strubbe brewery, is an ornanic Belgian amber beer brewed with a unique combination of 3 different grains - barley, wheat and spelt. Brewed on a base of spelled and wheat, the Bioloo presents in the glass a dress of a rather light amber and a hat of creamy white foam and persistent. From it come complex aromas evoking both caramel and malts, yeast and its phenolic and spicy appearance as well as hops and fruity scents. This complex together is brought to the nostrils by a relatively fine effervescence.
