There are many beers with different characters, whether due to their flavour, level of alcohol, region of production, colour, etc. One might think that the belong to no category. In reality, there are all placed in a category know as " Belgian Specials" , a bit of a catch-all, but distinguished by the fact that these beers are found only in Belgium.
Gageleer No Alcohol is a pale yellow beer with a white head. In the nose fruity and malty scents with hints of gale for the finest noses and taste buds. Malt in the mouth and softly sweet, little bitter. None of them predominant, but despite the absence of alcohol a broad and balanced taste palette. Gageleer No Alcohol is a refreshingly tasty beer.
Brewed at the Halve Maan brewery, Sportzot is the first alcohol-free Belgian speciality beer with a very rich and unique taste. The new technique allows the brewers to filter out the alcohol in a natural way, without distilling nor using other manipulations, the brouwers can assure the rich taste of our speciality beer.
Pours a pale yellow with a medium-sized soapy white head. Belgian yeast character really stands out with some banana bread, clove, coriander, and nutmeg in there as well.
Certified organic beer 'gluten free'. Brewed at Brunehaut Brewery.
More coppery and sustained, with a good bead of persistent foam.
Nose: The nose is relatively discreet and elegant on fermentary touches and fine yeasts. A lot of freshness.
Palate: The mouth is full of freshness despite the degree of alcohol. Then the full-bodied side comes, it's full, fat and long. Yet in the end the elegance remains. Not too much sweetness or excess of caramel. Join the beers to consume on some hard cheeses, see a young county in the fruity balance.
Gordon Finest Red 8.8-1/2L Can is brewed by John Martin brewery. Ruby red, Gordon Finest Red astonishes with its inimitable and pronounced fragrance. Its darkly tinted colour matches its fiery temperament. Neither brown nor pale, it is reminiscent of sumptuous Scottish landscapes, falling asleep with the sheep in the dusk, as the sun sets over the never-ending Highlands.
Floris Chocolate, brewed by Huyghe brewery, is a beer that has the particularity of being flavored with chocolate. If this is surprising, it is only the combination of two Belgian specialties, and better chocolate than french fries! There are also many flavored beers with chocolate such as Young's Double Chocolate Stout. The Floris Chocolat presents in the glass a brown dress surmounted by a collar of light brown foam. Once out of the bottle, it brings to the nose aromas of chocolate accompanied by vanilla spikes. In the mouth, chocolate dominates the appetizer before vanilla, coriander and wheat appear. This chocolate Floris develops no bitterness which should delight sweet mouths.
