There are many beers with different characters, whether due to their flavour, level of alcohol, region of production, colour, etc. One might think that the belong to no category. In reality, there are all placed in a category know as " Belgian Specials" , a bit of a catch-all, but distinguished by the fact that these beers are found only in Belgium.
Dark beer (alc. 7.5 %), with secondary fermentation in the bottle. Broeder Jacob Brune is a surprisingly dry dark beer. It offers a range of complex flavours in which malt and hops are most represented.
Brewed at Caulier brewery, Bonsecours Brune is a high fermentation beer, unfiltered and unpasteurized. Its foam is generous and creamy. The nose reveals delicate aromas of mocha and hops. When you taste the beer, there is a pronounced bitterness.
Prouced by Bouillon brewery, this beer pours a dark mahogany with a abundant cream colored head. Head shrinks but stays throughout the entire drink.
Malty burnt sugar. A little yeast hidden behind the sweet aroma. Very good.
De Graal Dubbel 6,5° - 1/3L - delivery worldwide - A brown-red ale with the aroma of cake, raisin and a touch of spice. The flavor starts off with the aforementioned raisins, and then moves on to a light chocolate and brown malt taste with a leafy hop and anise finish. The body is medium to light.
Brewed at the De Halve Maan brewery, and delivered worldwide. Brown Brugse Zot has a red-brown ruby color and has a rich aroma of rather bitter touches. The beer is brewed with a unique selection of different special kinds of malt and Czech hops, Saaz from Zatec, world renowned.
