To be a Trappist beer, it must be brewed under the control of Trappist monks, in compliance with the criteria defined by the International Trappist Association. It is exclusively under these conditions that it may then display the Authentic Trappist Product logo.
Zundert from Maria-Toevlucht Abbey is one of the eleven Trappist beers, and one of two present in the Netherlands with La Trappe.
Amber and hazy with a thick off-white head, Trappist Zundert has aromas of malt, caramel, pal malt, yeast and fruit.
On the palate, it is floral and fruity with notes of caramel, yeast and pal malt in a beautiful bitterness.
It has a medium body, oily texture and moderate carbonation for a bitter, dry finish.

Great new trappist. They succeeded in bringing a new beer instead of a copy of an other beer. Great taste that stays long Clear redish orange with light orange lasting foam head. Aroma is bitter sweet, koriander, fruity. Tastes quite bitter fresh, some fruit notes, quite nice. Short aftertaste.
