Westvleteren Blond, brewed at the Sint-Sixtus Abbey and delivered worldwide, is the basic Trappist beer for the monks’ own consumption, since 1999, when the former 6° dark ale (red cap) was finally discarded, after the 4° had already gone that path.
Very nice cloudy yellow color with a white head. The aroma is sweet, fruity, and some nice hops aromas also. A very smooth beer with lower carbonation. It's slightly sweet with a dry finish. Nice complex malt flavors balanced with the hops. Very drinkable and enjoyable; really good.
