Delirium Black Barrel Aged 11,5° - 3/4L

Pours a dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out Belgian yeast, candied sugar, and light bourbon barrels. Flavour is quite heavy, with the bourbon barrels upfront, followed by candied sugar and Belgian yeast. The bourbon is there but too dominant. It lends itself well to the base beer. Very good.

Good but expensive

We live in the NW of the united states where microbrews thrive. We love strong, dark ales. The Delirium Black Barrel Aged is a strong, flavorful ale, but not as dark as we had expected. I will say, the more we sipped it, the more we liked it. It is a fun ale to try but is a bit expensive for the drinking experience we had. Our experience with the Belgian Shop is 5 stars plus! Would definitely order from them again and highly recommende.

No Words

I had heard of this beer but had never seen it myself in the US. A friend sent me to this site and I was able to buy a bottle of the Black Bottled Delirium Barrel Aged Beer.
The package arrived in about 10 days - which I thought was very quick coming from overseas.
I keep it for a special occasion and when I got transfered for work I opened it up for a few of my close friends. To those like myself who love Belgium Beers this was about as good as it gets.

I gave this the highest rating on UnTapped I have ever given a beer.
