This beer has been designed as an old export porter. It has been brewed as undrinkable bitter and then aged in wood for 9 months. The result is a strong dark beer that has a perfect bitter/sour balance.
Pours hazy reddish-brown, minimal head. Nose is rotting cherry, old vinegar, lactic sour, wine leaves, rotting sour fruit sour, almost vinegar, sour chocolate, sour coffee, sour cacao, berries. Taste is rotting cherries, bit watery, sour cherry compote, rotting oak, sour leaves, low vinegar, rotting cherry & dark berries profile is huge, carbonation is low, ancient barrel Oud Bruin,.... Little carbonation, sour fruit cherry compote, going to watery, sour cacao / chocolate,... Very tasty, very interesting brew.
