A light, golden abbey pale ale, with a complex aroma blending malt, caramel and notes of fruit such as banana or pineapple. The first sip is strong and fresh on the palate. The use of candy sugar gives it long-lasting, soft finish. The liquorice finale and slightly bitter aftertaste make this a well-balanced, accessible beer. Inspired by the know-how of the monks at the Floreffe Abbey, this beer is brewed without filtering to produce a subtle beer with a real personality.
Floreffe Blonde is brewed with well water and malted spring barley. Candy sugar is added during the boiling phase. After fermentation and storage, the beer is mechanically purified in a centrifuge.
Even when served very cold, it may be slightly cloudy. In this way, Floreffe Blonde maintains its inimitable bouquet and aromas. The drinker first breathes in the malt and fruity aromas. The bitterness comes from a subtle mix of the best hop varieties.
The first sip is powerful but is transformed into a taste of softness and ends with a finale of liquorice root.
