Very dark, clear, red/amber color with medium, off-white head. Quite mild, caramel-malty aroma with clear anise/licorice hints. Malty, slightly alcoholic and sweet, red-wineous flavor. Medium to full-bodied palate with quite well-balanced (though a bit on the high side) carbonation. An easily drinkable, sweetish and quite full-bodied dubbel. Dark murky brown with no head. Aroma has dates, malts and bread. Taste is quite complex; malt is dominant, with spices and alcohol. Medium bodied and drinkable. Very good.
