For the brand new Duvel Tripel Hop, brewers have selected a new generation of hops for connoisseurs: 'Cashmere' is the result of crossing a 'Cascade' hops plant with a 'Northern Brewer' male plant.
The result is a unique brew with 9.5% alcohol, with fruity notes of citrus, peach, melon and tropical coconut. For some time now, beer sommeliers have been calling the Cashmere variety a rising star. This is a newcomer very popular in the world of hops. This will make the mouth water of lovers of special beers, and in particular Belgian beers IPA. However, the typical characteristics of the Duvel are also preserved.
Pours hazy straw yellow with a big frothy head. The aroma features fresh citrusy fruitiness, grainy maltiness and yeasty spiciness; richly fruity. Taste is quite dry and tart, bitterness rises towards finish. Strong flavours of grapefruit and zest with hay, grain and spices and a hint of alcohol in the finish. The palate is full-bodied and smooth, low carbonation. Very nice.
