Kriek Belle-Vue is made by maceration of fresh cherries coming from the lambic beer, which gives the beer a bordeaux colour which ensures a fruity and fresh taste.
Lambic of approximately 4 months old is used to prepare the renowned Belle-Vue Kriek. 80 kilos of July-ripened cherries are mixed with the Lambic in 650 liter oak barrels and left to mature for an additional 9 months before the Kriek is pronounced ready for bottling.
