Cantillon Saint Lamvinus 5° - The Cantillon brewery has teamed up with a few libourese winemakers and more specifically Saint-Emilion and Pomerol. These men work in respect of traditions and nobly ferment their wines.
Respect therefore fermentations but also respect of the soil and the vintage.
Their hooked atoms gave birth to a product that betrayed neither wine nor beer: Saint Lamvinus.
The grapes, merlots and cabernet-francs, macerate in Bordeaux barrels in Lambic from 2 to 3 years. Bottling is done without assembly. The foam is ensured by adding shipping liquor.
The label is the result of the work of artist Jullie Van Roy, 1998
Everyone knows some of our best friends are wine growers from the Libourne region in France, more specifically those who make Saint Emillion and Pomerol. They respect the tradition and let their wine ferment in a natural way.
Fermentation, origin and vintage are still kept up.
Our collaboration resulted in a product uniting the best of their wine and of our beer : the Saint-Lamvinus.
The grapes, of the merlot and cabernet-franc varieties, are soaked in Bordeaux barrels containing two to three years old lambic. The beer is not blended before the bottling. The foam is caused by the addition of a liquor which starts the fermentation.
