BELGIAN BREWERIES
Belgium is the leading country in the world in terms of creativeness and diversity of beer brands. On the map you will find professional brewers who have made that reputation, and the reputation for producing the best beers in the world, a reality recognised by all. Most breweries will be only too happy to welcome you, show you around and offer you a taste of their production. Others do not have the facilities to do so. We have also listed some well-known beers (called label beers) which are brewed under contract but which lose nothing of their goodness in the process

CAFES – TAVERNS – BARS (ESTAMINETS) AND RESTAURANTS
Belgium has an impressive number of cafes and traditional bars (called estaminets), which provide the very best conditions of tradition and know-how in which to enjoy a wide variety of Belgian beer. Many restaurants propose excellent cooking, from traditional dishes cooked in beer to more inventive recipes. Our selection, though far from comprehensive, does list all the warmly recommended restaurants.

BEER MERCHANT
In almost every Belgian village, it is possible to find a beer merchant, a shop or a drive-in selling the best brands of beer. We have listed nearly one hundred merchants, recommended by the brewers, who will always have the product you are seeking and will give you good service.

FESTIVALS
Belgium is also the country of conviviality and fun around its heritage. Making good beer is one thing, letting other people know about it and sharing it is another very important aspect. We have selected some beer-tasting festivals, which we believe you should not miss and at which you will discover our rich beer production. These are also the best places to meet professional brewers who will be delighted to share their passion with you over a beer.
