This Grimbergen Triple has an attractive, deeply yellow colour. A very well-structured beer, it gives off malty aromas with very sugary hints and scents of citrus and fruit.
The palate has a malty taste with complex spices and fresh hops. Round, it has a frank bitterness with final hints of honey and vanilla on the palate.
"Burnt but not consumed" - that is motto of the Abbaye de Grimbergen, founded in 1128 in a small village north of Brussels. It has burnt down countless times, but rebuilt each time, like a phoenix rising from the flames.
