Delievred worldwide, 3 Fonteinen Oude Kriek is the result of a maturing process of cherries and young Lambic. This process takes 6 to 8 months. After the beer has been bottled, it matures for four months in a warm place where the beer ferments by itself.
No aromas, sweeteners or colorants have been added.

In the complex world of handcrafted “gueuzes”. Drie Fonteinen probably is the brewery of which a lot beer lovers are jealous of. The oude gueuze consists of a Lambic composition that matured between one and three years in oak barrels.
In the glass, this Belgian beer with an orange colour and fine foam has a very specific taste that holds the middle between apple and lemon.
Like most handcrafted gueuzes, it is possible to let them mature even longer in order to diminish the acidity and to enjoy its fruity aromes to the fullest extent.
